Following in the tradition started with the Bridlemaids billboard, the Hub has put together another great spoof with this “Ponygeist” billboard. The billboard is a parody of the poster for the 1982 film “Poltergeist” which features a young girl with her hands on the TV with a teddy bear on the floor by her side. The girl is substituted with Pinkie Pie and the bear is a stuffed Spike. The original poster had “They’re here” as the tag line, though the parody poster has “They’re Baaack” which is the quote on the Poltergeist II poster, which does not feature the girl with the TV set on it.
The billboard has been spotted in the wild, at the same location as the Bridlemaids one was displayed.
