Here’s a look at the “Fashion Style” versions of Princess Luna and Princess Celestia, part of the Canterlot line of Target exclusive My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic toys. Princess Luna has been a fan favourite since her appearance in the second episode of the series, and now we finally have a toy of her!

They don't call them "Fashion Style" for nothing!

I prefer to remove the dress up accessories from my Ponies, as these aren’t things they wear in the show. Even Celestia’s crown and necklace are not very close to what she wears in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

These are large sized toys, similar in size to similar dress up versions of other ponies. Here are some size comparisons:

Overall these are pretty nice looking toys. I don’t have much of a need for all the crazy clothes they come with, but I guess this is to be expected in a toyline aimed at young girls. For now with no hard plastic haired PVC Princess Luna, this is the best you’ll find, as the only other version is a standard sized Pony. There are much better Princess Celestia toys out there however, as can be seen in the size comparison image. For whatever reason we now have four Princess Celestia toys, and none of them are white as she should be.

Something weird about this “set” is that they really can’t be packaged separately. Aside from a big tab sticking out of the front of one half there’s this weird thing where Luna is on the left both on the front and back of the packaging, so when you separate them Luna’s half has Celestia on the back and Celestia’s half has Luna on the back.
